Stand still, dwell on past mistakes
One step forward, two steps back, just in case
Redundant synapse, backup systems failed
Motionless, agitated, distraught, delayed

Stuck in a moment that never ends
Perpetual motion doing circles in your head
There is no way in and no way out
Inert, apathetic, dormant, closed down

A moment in time that defines who you are
The climax that since had long been gone
Chained to the fence of inactivity
Drowning in an ocean of ambiguity

A moment that lasts an eternity
Trying to make sense of the course
Without understanding the causality
That motion requires force

But there’s no one here to push you
And you slowly sink like a stone
Meanwhile the world still turns
And you don’t even fight to hang on

I'm on the fence with this one. It feels like it's not finished - like it's not saying what it was supposed to have said. There are, again flow issues, but I can't spend any more time rewriting this, so I declare it "done". Whatever "done" is in this case.

I absolutely love the first stanza.
Something about the S's, D's, and L's makes it sound absolutely fantastic aloud, and the "One step forward, two steps back, just in case" is really lovely.
