Stay awhile,
Take my hand and let’s float on by
In the clouds,
Catch the sun’s rays and be mesmerised
Flying high,
Look down below at the world beneath
Gravity
Leave behind what you’ve learned of it

There’s a time,
A time and a place for everything
Here and now,
Or somewhere else, change it on a whim
In the end
The outcomes may justify the means
After all
We are flesh and blood, not cold machines

In the air,
Embrace the wind and flow with it
Rain or shine
It doesn’t matter; it’s what we make of it
Leave this place,
Don’t look back, whatever you do
Hear my voice,
The eternal, soothing, comforting and true

Time to go,
Embark on a road never travelled upon
Feel my heart,
Hear it beating for you, as we’re sailing on
How long to go,
Who knows, we’ll march along to our own pace
And when we're there
We’ll fall asleep in an aeonian embrace

This was a nightmare to write... Usually when I start something and then stop, I never finish it, but this one, I don't know, it's important to me so I just couldn't leave it alone. First written in November 2006, rewritten June 2007, finished and published - today.

As we sky away,
On this loving life,
Happiness I cry,
As I die by your side....

ooh, very nice, I'll have to go look at the rest of your stuff too ;)
unfortunataly I'm sorta swamped right now, due to a few vacations and evil assignments... I've 93 deviations I need to comment on, or at least look at, and 115 messages to reply to. Not to mention a few other people who's galleries I have to look at.. so it may take me awhile to get around to you ^^; sorry..

Because of your wonderful commenting, i took the liberty of browsing through your gallery, starting from the most popular poem (this one) down.

I must say, this was a pleasant surprise to read. Most of the poems here on DA are depressing, dark, or so sugar-sweet that it becomes ridiculous.

This was remarkably refreshing to read. From the very first line it struck me as the perfect scenario for a romantic film. I think I might watch you, just to make sure I don't miss anything like this in the future ;)

Thank you. This one is probably the most "personal" poem I have written, which was also the hardest from an emotional point of view. It's never easy to condense a feeling (especially this particular feeling) in a few lines of text.

As far as the poems on DA go...it might have something to do with the average age of the writer. When compared to most of the authors I have ran across here, I'm as close to a grandfather as you'll get ;)

Please, no film references...I work in this God forsaken industry.
